HAD your chips...Ryan and his cracking carp

RYAN Dewhirst is pictured produly holding classy carp, the Big Common, after netting the whopper while casting a line at Borwick Fishing.

Ryan reeled Big Common in using boilies - and was delighted when the monster pulled the scales to 34lb exactly.

It had already been caught twice in the preceding weeks at 33lb 8oz and 33lb 4oz. Other known big fish have been caught recently in good numbers but, following spawning, all weighed in between 28lb and 30lb.

However with spawning out of the way, they should now pack on the weight to exceed their 2007 weights giving anglers the chance to fish for five or six known fish over 30lb.
