Webbed feat for Shrimps
MORECAMBE Football Club fans looking to keep abreast of happenings from Christie Park with a new official website being launched tomorrow, Thursday.
The launch comes on the day the first team squad return to training ahead of the new season and promises to offer more news, features and up to date information about the club.
The director in charge of the development Stephen Wright says the site will offer Shrimps' fans more coverage of their club and also offer the club the chance to earn much needed money into the club.
He said: "It is an exciting development for the club and has taken a lot of work behind the scenes from a small band of people who have put in a lot of hours to get the site ready.
"It will replace the other morecambefc.com site as the club's official site and and this is the perfect opportunity for me to thank Matt Seage for all his efforts with an excellent, informative, site that really did help the club. Matt put in a huge amount of work on the site and everyone at the club really is grateful for what he did over the past few years.
"This new site will bring much needed revenue into the club and I would urge as many fans as possible to keep clicking away and logging on to it and make it their home page. We will be aiming to bring you all the up to date news with more snippets, stories, features, interviews and reports than ever before. As we progress the aim is to look at adding more features to give you the most up to date news from Christie Park.''
He added: "Last year was our first in the Football League and a huge season for us all. We have hopefully learned a lot on and off the field and we can continue to make steady progress in all departments. This website is hopefully a step in that direction."
Fans can also register for a regular newsletter which will also keep them up to date about the very latest news. views and club shop offers.
