A THIRD year of funding has been secured by Furness Enterprise for marketing The Waterfront Barrow in Furness Business Park project in NW England.
The 8.3ha phase one Ramsden Business Park element of The Waterfront has already attracted interest from 87 companies based all over the UK and abroad as a result of two years initial marketing.
Site reclamation and servicing only started in mid-October and is due to be completed in six months time.
This new contract from West Lakes Renaissance enables Furness Enterprise to:
- Market the site at home and overseas.
- Provide companies with customised information about Furness and The Waterfront.
- Deliver customised business support including financial incentives packages to individual firms keen to explore the potential The Waterfront offers.
- Inform local people about the project's progress.
- Run a Barrow Island Waterfront Information Centre.
