ROY Keane's Sunderland are lined up for a pre-season friendly against Kendal Town.
The Premier League club have agreed to send a side to play Lee Ashcroft's side on Wednesday, August 13.
Town's commercial manager Paul Maclennan, who is a former Sunderland player, has been the prime mover in arranging the eye-catching money-spinning fixture.
He said: "I've been working hard on trying to fix this game up and now it's going to happen.
Sunderland have said they will send a mixture of reserve and first-team players.
The reserve team won the Premier League North Reserves' title last season, so they have so talented lads in the side, including an Under-20 French international.
